Ripple will be the global standard says CEO of SBI Holdings

Mr. Yoshitaka Kitao, Representative Director and CEO of SBI Holdings, Japan’s leading financial services group and blockchain supporter at the Japan Blockchain Conference said “using XRP can create a more efficient world” and “He is confident Ripple will be the global standard” – Facebook today announced it’s reversing its cryptocurrency ad ban effective immediately.

He was the guest speaker at Japan Blockchain Conference- One of Japan’s largest blockchain conferences. The event occurred in two days on 26, 27 June. There were almost 10,000 visitors and over 100 companies from around the globe becoming the biggest blockchain conference in Japan. The conference was organized by the Global Blockchain Council and was held at the Tokyo International Forum.

SBI Holdings has currently partnered with Ripple. They launched their own cryptocurrency powered by Ripple [XRP]. They will soon list Ripple and other virtual currency on their platform. SBI Holdings’ cryptocurrency exchange is now live for a limited number of customers and with a few cryptocurrencies supported so far.

 

Just after the bullish comment by the CEO, American online social media, and social networking service, Facebook is reversing its ban on cryptocurrency advertisements. According to the blog post by By Rob Leathern, Product Management Director, Facebook will permit advertisers to promote crypto business and services, like exchanges.

The SBI group was in the news recently after they announced their own crypto exchange. Also, they added Ripple [XRP] as one of the coins on the exchange to be traded against the Japanese Yen. Since then, they have made significant progress in terms of total trading value and popularity.

Mr. Yoshitaka Kitao

Mr. Yoshitaka Kitao was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1951. After graduating from the Department of Economics, Keio University in 1974, Mr. Kitao entered Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. He then graduated from the Department of Economics, the University of Cambridge in 1978. He assumed the post of Executive Managing Director at Wasserstein Perella & Co in 1989 and Corporate Information Executive Director in 1991. Later, he assumed the post of Corporate Director of all three divisions at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. Invited by Mr. Masayoshi Son, Mr. Kitao entered SoftBank Group Corporation in 1995 and assumed the post of Executive Managing Director. Mr. Kitao is currently the Representative Director and CEO of SBI Holdings, Inc., an integrated company that develops a wide range of businesses, such as securities, banks, and insurance in the finance industry, investments in the growth of new industries, as well as bio-related businesses, such as developing medicines. Mr. Kitao is also a director at SBI Children’s Hope Foundation and the president of SBI Graduate School. Mr. Kitao has published a number of books, including “What We Work For”, “Advice on Moral Training” (Chichi Publishing Company), “Masahiro Yasuoka – PRACTICAL” (PRESIDENT Inc.), “Practical FinTech – Lessons from Successful Companies”, and “Practical FinTech” (Nikkei Publishing Inc.).
